Abstract:Long-context language models now advertise context windows up to millions of tokens, yet evaluations typically report a single length or a narrow task family, masking two failure modes: performance can collapse as length grows, and strong retrieval need not transfer to downstream use. We present ATLAS, a benchmarking framework that redefines long-context evaluation as length-dependent capability profiling. ATLAS contributes three methodological principles:(i) a layered taxonomy separating foundational operations from application workloads so failures can be attributed, (ii) length-aware AUC scoring that integrates score-length curves over a fixed 8K-1M grid, replacing single-point metrics with full degradation profiles, and (iii) ATLAScore, a harmonic-mean aggregate over taxonomy categories that penalizes imbalanced profiles, with end-to-end uncertainty propagation from subset scores through the nonlinear final aggregate. We instantiate the framework across eight capability dimensions with nine auditable components and 6,438 instances, and evaluate 26 models. Gemini-3.1-Pro-Preview leads at 128K, Claude-Opus-4.6 leads at 1M. Rankings reshuffle substantially between ATLASscore@8K-128K and ATLASscore@8K-1M: 7 models move by at least two ranks, and the two taxonomy layers share only 61% of cross-model variance, with individual rank gaps up to 12 positions. These results support reporting long-context quality by capability and length, not by a single headline score.
Abstract:Interactive world models are advancing rapidly, yet existing benchmarks cover only part of the required competencies, leaving no unified standard for systematic evaluation. To fill this gap, we introduce WBench, a comprehensive multi-turn benchmark for interactive world model evaluation along five dimensions, namely video quality, setting adherence, interaction adherence, consistency, and physics compliance. WBench contains 289 test cases and 1,058 interaction turns, where each case specifies a world setting and a multi-turn interaction sequence, covering diverse scenes, styles, subjects, and both first- and third-person perspectives, together with four interaction types, including navigation, subject action, event editing, and perspective switching. For navigation, WBench unifies text, 6-DoF pose, and discrete-action control, enabling evaluation of models with different native input interfaces. Evaluation uses 22 automatic sub-metrics that combine specialist vision models with large multimodal models, and all metrics are validated against human judgments. Across 20 state-of-the-art models, we find that no single model performs strongly across all dimensions. We provide detailed diagnostic insights into the characteristic strengths, weaknesses, and open challenges of each model. Code and data are available at https://github.com/meituan-longcat/WBench.
Abstract:Vehicle Re-identification (Re-ID) aims to retrieve the most similar image to a given query from images captured by non-overlapping cameras. Extending vehicle Re-ID from image-only queries to text-based queries enables retrieval in real-world scenarios where only a witness description of the target vehicle is available. In this paper, we propose PFCVR, a Part-level Fine-grained Cross-modal Vehicle Retrieval model for text-to-image vehicle re-identification. PFCVR constructs locally paired images and texts at the part level and introduces learnable part-query tokens that aggregate both part-specific and full-sentence context before aligning with visual part features. On top of this explicit local alignment, a bi-directional mask recovery module lets each modality reconstruct its masked content under the guidance of the other, implicitly bridging local correspondences into global feature alignment. Furthermore, we construct a new large-scale dataset called T2I-VeRW, which contains 14,668 images covering 1,796 vehicle identities with fine-grained part-level annotations. Experimental results on the T2I-VeRI dataset show that PFCVR achieves 29.2\% Rank-1 accuracy, improving over the best competing method by +3.7\% percentage points. On the newly proposed T2I-VeRW benchmark, PFCVR achieves 55.2\% Rank-1 accuracy, outperforming a comprehensive set of recent state-of-the-art methods. Abstract:Contemporary large language models (LLMs) have demonstrated remarkable reasoning capabilities, particularly in specialized domains like mathematics and physics. However, their ability to generalize these reasoning skills to more general and broader contexts--often termed general reasoning--remains under-explored. Unlike domain-specific reasoning, general reasoning relies less on expert knowledge but still presents formidable reasoning challenges, such as complex constraints, nested logical branches, and semantic interference. To address this gap, we introduce General365, a benchmark specifically designed to assess general reasoning in LLMs. By restricting background knowledge to a K-12 level, General365 explicitly decouples reasoning from specialized expertise. The benchmark comprises 365 seed problems and 1,095 variant problems across eight categories, ensuring both high difficulty and diversity. Evaluations across 26 leading LLMs reveal that even the top-performing model achieves only 62.8% accuracy, in stark contrast to the near-perfect performances of LLMs in math and physics benchmarks. These results suggest that the reasoning abilities of current LLMs are heavily domain-dependent, leaving significant room for improvement in broader applications. We envision General365 as a catalyst for advancing LLM reasoning beyond domain-specific tasks toward robust, general-purpose real-world scenarios. Abstract:The prevailing Next-Token Prediction (NTP) paradigm has driven the success of large language models through discrete autoregressive modeling. However, contemporary multimodal systems remain language-centric, often treating non-linguistic modalities as external attachments, leading to fragmented architectures and suboptimal integration. To transcend this limitation, we introduce Discrete Native Autoregressive (DiNA), a unified framework that represents multimodal information within a shared discrete space, enabling a consistent and principled autoregressive modeling across modalities. A key innovation is the Discrete Native Any-resolution Visual Transformer (dNaViT), which performs tokenization and de-tokenization at arbitrary resolutions, transforming continuous visual signals into hierarchical discrete tokens. Building on this foundation, we develop LongCat-Next, a native multimodal model that processes text, vision, and audio under a single autoregressive objective with minimal modality-specific design. As an industrial-strength foundation model, it excels at seeing, painting, and talking within a single framework, achieving strong performance across a wide range of multimodal benchmarks. In particular, LongCat-Next addresses the long-standing performance ceiling of discrete vision modeling on understanding tasks and provides a unified approach to effectively reconcile the conflict between understanding and generation. As an attempt toward native multimodality, we open-source the LongCat-Next and its tokenizers, hoping to foster further research and development in the community. Abstract:Autonomous driving systems require comprehensive evaluation in safety-critical scenarios to ensure safety and robustness. However, such scenarios are rare and difficult to collect from real-world driving data, necessitating simulation-based synthesis. Yet, existing methods often exhibit limitations in both controllability and realism. From a capability perspective, LLMs excel at controllable generation guided by natural language instructions, while diffusion models are better suited for producing trajectories consistent with realistic driving distributions. Leveraging their complementary strengths, we propose AnchorDrive, a two-stage safety-critical scenario generation framework. In the first stage, we deploy an LLM as a driver agent within a closed-loop simulation, which reasons and iteratively outputs control commands under natural language constraints; a plan assessor reviews these commands and provides corrective feedback, enabling semantically controllable scenario generation. In the second stage, the LLM extracts key anchor points from the first-stage trajectories as guidance objectives, which jointly with other guidance terms steer the diffusion model to regenerate complete trajectories with improved realism while preserving user-specified intent. Experiments on the highD dataset demonstrate that AnchorDrive achieves superior overall performance in criticality, realism, and controllability, validating its effectiveness for generating controllable and realistic safety-critical scenarios.
Abstract:The phase ordering problem has been a long-standing challenge since the late 1970s, yet it remains an open problem due to having a vast optimization space and an unbounded nature, making it an open-ended problem without a finite solution, one can limit the scope by reducing the number and the length of optimizations. Traditionally, such locally optimized decisions are made by hand-coded algorithms tuned for a small number of benchmarks, often requiring significant effort to be retuned when the benchmark suite changes. In the past 20 years, Machine Learning has been employed to construct performance models to improve the selection and ordering of compiler optimizations, however, the approaches are not baked into the compiler seamlessly and never materialized to be leveraged at a fine-grained scope of code segments. This paper presents Protean Compiler: An agile framework to enable LLVM with built-in phase-ordering capabilities at a fine-grained scope. The framework also comprises a complete library of more than 140 handcrafted static feature collection methods at varying scopes, and the experimental results showcase speedup gains of up to 4.1% on average and up to 15.7% on select Cbench applications wrt LLVM's O3 by just incurring a few extra seconds of build time on Cbench. Additionally, Protean compiler allows for an easy integration with third-party ML frameworks and other Large Language Models, and this two-step optimization shows a gain of 10.1% and 8.5% speedup wrt O3 on Cbench's Susan and Jpeg applications. Protean compiler is seamlessly integrated into LLVM and can be used as a new, enhanced, full-fledged compiler. We plan to release the project to the open-source community in the near future.
Abstract:In recent years, trustworthiness has garnered increasing attention and exploration in the field of intelligent education, due to the inherent sensitivity of educational scenarios, such as involving minors and vulnerable groups, highly personalized learning data, and high-stakes educational outcomes. However, existing research either focuses on task-specific trustworthy methods without a holistic view of trustworthy intelligent education, or provides survey-level discussions that remain high-level and fragmented, lacking a clear and systematic categorization. To address these limitations, in this paper, we present a systematic and structured review of trustworthy intelligent education. Specifically, We first organize intelligent education into five representative task categories: learner ability assessment, learning resource recommendation, learning analytics, educational content understanding, and instructional assistance. Building on this task landscape, we review existing studies from five trustworthiness perspectives, including safety and privacy, robustness, fairness, explainability, and sustainability, and summarize and categorize the research methodologies and solution strategies therein. Finally, we summarize key challenges and discuss future research directions. This survey aims to provide a coherent reference framework and facilitate a clearer understanding of trustworthiness in intelligent education.
Abstract:We introduce LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601, a 560-billion-parameter open-source Mixture-of-Experts (MoE) reasoning model with superior agentic reasoning capability. LongCat-Flash-Thinking-2601 achieves state-of-the-art performance among open-source models on a wide range of agentic benchmarks, including agentic search, agentic tool use, and tool-integrated reasoning. Beyond benchmark performance, the model demonstrates strong generalization to complex tool interactions and robust behavior under noisy real-world environments. Its advanced capability stems from a unified training framework that combines domain-parallel expert training with subsequent fusion, together with an end-to-end co-design of data construction, environments, algorithms, and infrastructure spanning from pre-training to post-training. In particular, the model's strong generalization capability in complex tool-use are driven by our in-depth exploration of environment scaling and principled task construction. To optimize long-tailed, skewed generation and multi-turn agentic interactions, and to enable stable training across over 10,000 environments spanning more than 20 domains, we systematically extend our asynchronous reinforcement learning framework, DORA, for stable and efficient large-scale multi-environment training. Furthermore, recognizing that real-world tasks are inherently noisy, we conduct a systematic analysis and decomposition of real-world noise patterns, and design targeted training procedures to explicitly incorporate such imperfections into the training process, resulting in improved robustness for real-world applications. To further enhance performance on complex reasoning tasks, we introduce a Heavy Thinking mode that enables effective test-time scaling by jointly expanding reasoning depth and width through intensive parallel thinking.
Abstract:Privacy-preserving model co-training in medical research is often hindered by server-dependent architectures incompatible with protected hospital data systems and by the predominant focus on relative effect measures (hazard ratios) which lack clinical interpretability for absolute survival risk assessment. We propose FedRD, a communication-efficient framework for federated risk difference estimation in distributed survival data. Unlike typical federated learning frameworks (e.g., FedAvg) that require persistent server connections and extensive iterative communication, FedRD is server-independent with minimal communication: one round of summary statistics exchange for the stratified model and three rounds for the unstratified model. Crucially, FedRD provides valid confidence intervals and hypothesis testing--capabilities absent in FedAvg-based frameworks. We provide theoretical guarantees by establishing the asymptotic properties of FedRD and prove that FedRD (unstratified) is asymptotically equivalent to pooled individual-level analysis. Simulation studies and real-world clinical applications across different countries demonstrate that FedRD outperforms local and federated baselines in both estimation accuracy and prediction performance, providing an architecturally feasible solution for absolute risk assessment in privacy-restricted, multi-site clinical studies.
